Organoleptic characteristics

Taurasi DOCG, ruby ​​red wine, tending to garnet / orange, full-bodied, with a full flavor. On the palate it leaves a hint of marasca and fruits of wood. It is served at a temperature between 18/20 C ° taking care to uncork the bottle a few hours before.

A "meditation" wine

It is a wine that takes its name from the town of the same name and its production is allowed in the province of Avellino alone.

The Taurasi Docg must be obtained from grapes of the Aglianico Irpino vine; it is a "meditation" wine, subjected to an obligatory aging period of at least three years, one of which in wooden barrels.

To obtain the "Riserva" mention, Taurasi Docg must age for 4 years, of which 18 months in wooden barrels.

Taurasi Docg - Crypta Castagnara Cellars

It is produced only in the best vintages and is aged in French oak barrels with light toasting, in order to develop fruity and floral aromas.

The Taurasi Docg is a complex wine, with an important structure, reaching its maximum expression after 6/10 years from the vinification.
