Irpinia Land

Irpinia is a middle land between the Tyrrhenian and the Adriatic, where a combination of very favorable environmental and climatic factors make it special and predispose it to the cultivation of grapes from fine wines: Taurasi Docg, Fiano di Avellino Docg, Greco di Tudo DOCG. In the heart of Irpinia, in a panoramic position, at 600 a.s.l., stands the old ground of Crypta Castagnara, today municipality of Grottolella. Crypta Catagnara property are located 9 km from Avellino center and 18 km from Benevento, and enjoys a privileged territorial position, where the cultivation of vines has always been very flourishing. "Aglianichiello of Grottolella", is a grapes of the Aglianico variety, from the 19th century up to the middle of the 20th century has fueled a thriving trade with northern Italy and France.
