Location Carrara, Grottolella

The so-called “Fonte del Cretazzo”, the vineyard located in the “Carrara” area, derives its name from the Aglianico grapes grown there, those used for the production of our “Cretazzo”. This vineyard, in fact, is characterized by particularly clayey soil: the term “clay” in dialect is called in Italian “creta”, hence “Cretazzo”. The Aglianico vine represents one of the oldest vines present in the Irpinia area, as well as the one our family has been cultivating for generations. A truly historic vineyard.

In addition to Aglianico, the approximately 4 hectares of vineyards present in the “Carrara” area are intended for the cultivation of Fiano and Falanghina.
